Catherine Rubbi

Catherine Rubbi has been a practicing Speech Pathologist for 28 years. She has been operating her own business in Caringbah since 1985, specializing in paediatric speech, language and learning problems.

Catherine has a particular interest in neuroscientific approaches to therapy which she has been successfully using in her clinic for the past two (2) and a half (1/2) years. The current programs being used are the Cellfield and Fast ForWord Programs. Keeping up to date with the latest developments in assessment and treatment of speech, language and learning difficulties is a very high priority for her.






Judy Shakeshaft

Judy Shakeshaft has been a Speech Pathologist at Speech Pathology Services for the past ten years with a caseload specialising in paediatric speech, language and learning difficulties.

Judy is presently involved with the neuroscientific based programs Cellfield and Fast ForWord which are offered at the clinic. One of her interests is researching scientifically proven, computer based programs that can assist in the delivery of effective therapy.







Debra Alvarez

Debra Alvarez has worked as a Speech Pathologist for 13 years in England, New Zealand and most recently for 6 years at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. Debra specialises in eating and drinking difficulties in babies and children as well as in related disorders including tongue thrust and tongue tie. In addition to this Debbie's focus is early speech and language development.








Ben Bailey

Ben Bailey has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Newcastle. Previously trained as a youth support worker, Ben has experience working with children and adolescents with behavioural and/or developmental difficulties.

Ben is interested in neuroscientific computer based programs and the principles of neural plasticity (specifically its application to traditional speech/language therapy). Ben works with children and adolescents with a range of communicative difficulties including speech and language delay, fluency disorder, voice and resonance difficulties and literacy development.





Kerry Els

Kerry Els qualified as a Speech and Language Pathologist overseas and has worked in private practice for over 8.5 years.

She has a wealth of knowledge in treating speech, language, fluency and learning difficulties and enjoys working with pre-school and primary school aged children. Her particular areas of interests include early literacy training and phonological awareness. She also has much experience working with auditory processing difficulties. Kerry strives to work closely with parents/caregivers in order to equip them with tools to assist their child with his/her particular area of difficulty long after treatment has ended.
